What is a preview service?

For this week's devo, I thought I would answer the question, "What is a preview service?"

You may or may not know that Calvary Chapel Oakville is moving to a new meeting location. Our last service at the movie theatre will be Sunday, October 16.

Beginning Saturday, October 22, we will meet at the Oak Park Neighbourhood Centre (OPNC), located at 2200 Sawgrass Drive.

Between now and then, we are holding two more "Preview Services", one on Saturday, September 17 and the other on Saturday, October 8. (Complete schedule here.)

So just what is a Preview Service?

Simply put, it is an opportunity for anyone in the community to come and see what it is like at Calvary Chapel Oakville.

Psalm 34:8 says, "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."

Jesus gave us a preview of heaven when he walked this earth and healed the lame, opened the eyes of the blind, walked on water, and raised the dead. God gave the Apostle Paul a preview of heaven which he discusses in 2 Corinthians 12. God gave Abraham a preview of his future as he looked at the stars and the sand (See Genesis 22:17). We want to give the general public a preview of what it is like to simply worship Jesus simply and to simply learn the Bible simply.

So if you live anywhere near Oakville, Ontario, please come and spend some time at one of our services. If you don't live in the area, would you please pray for us?

Thanks so much! See you soon!
