Calvary Chapel Senior Pastor’s Conference 2015 – Recap

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend the Calvary Chapel Senior Pastors Conference in Costa Mesa, California. It had been about three years since I was at the conference and was a very refreshing and encouraging time spent with fellow Pastor’s and servants of the Lord.

Here’s some of the main take aways from my four days there:

– Calvary Chapel is an incredible family and movement of God in the world today. I feel privileged to be associated with what God is doing through our movement. There are many other great networks, denominations, and movements, but I love my tribe!
– “She is not dead, but sleeping.” This statement summarizes Jesus’ words to Jairus regarding his twelve year old daughter. Nate Holdridge, pastor of Calvary Chapel Monterey, opened the conference with a message about faith using this story. It was a powerful time of ministry and encouragement to believe in Jesus and His power to bring life out of death.
– The future is bright. Many lament what is happening in the world today, politically, spiritually, and socially. This conference reminded me that God is still on the move. I believe great things will happen as we believe and teach His word, take steps of faith, make disciples, and trust in the power of the Holy Spirit.
